Being overweight leads to physical health issues and mental health issues. Is your sister actually obese or is she built differently than the "ideal skinny girl"? If she is actually overweight, you should encourage her to live a healthier lifestyle (that's a challenge at the best of times, but probably insanely tough for a 13 year old), not because she is "ugly" or "gross", but because you don't want to be burying her by the time she is 25. It could be a project the two of you have, or the whole family. Everyone live a little healthier and feel better for it. If she is just a different shape, help her self esteem. Not everyone is a skinny little Bratz doll creature. Nobody should want to be that way either, since that comes with as many (if not more) physical and mental illnesses as being obese does. You cannot force your sister to feel better about herself, all you can do is love and support her. Let her know it's not the wrapping that people keep around after Christmas, it's the present inside.
