Studying to be a herbologist, huh? Good for you. Herbs, when used appropriately and within reason, are a very good alternative to many of the prescription drugs that seem to flow throughout this land. For example, depression is often treated with the drug Valium, which is costly. The herbal form is Valerian and costs less and is just as effective. I would like to see the traditional methods of treating people to include more herbal medicine, frankly. Especially to cut down on the high costs.

A scientist tests theories by performing controlled experiments. Look at the testing that conventional medications go through before they can be marketed, and the ongoing results of continued studies after the drugs get used by millions of people. Do herbal medicines undergo such scrutiny? What laws require that herbal medicines are tested and manufactured to Government standards? What I'm saying is that you can't believe everything you read, especially if it's from the company trying to sell you the product. Review the scientific test data that has been recorded for that product. If there is none, why? Why should you believe the claims of "testimonials" you hear on TV?

Well i think i should be the one tell you that herbal medicine is a type of witchcraft. But, to answer your question herbal medicine is using the natural resources of nature to cure sickness and injury. To get a better feel and idea of what your getting into, you should purchase some witchcraft and/or some natural magick books. :)Blessed Be.

Since many thousands of types of conventional medicine actually derives from herbs/plants and such, i'd say that whatever people feel comfortable using is right for them. BUT alternative medicine is on the increase, which is good news for you :) i believe in it, if only there was more access to it! healthshops such as Holland&Barrat are brilliant, i've recently added more healthfoods that include the benefits of herbs to my diet and i already feel better for it.

Yes, totally, I believe in the power of herbs, the same as, or maybe more than conventional medicine. Herbs are so potent, and much of what is used in conventional medicine is derived from herbs. I don't think it is witchcraft though. Maybe they are used in witchcraft, but I don't believe is IS witchcraft. How cool that you are studying herbalism!

i dont practise or recieve herbal medicine, but alot of drugs originally come from plants/nature, so it makes sense that herbal medicine works, sometimes!
