I've heard that they're actually all dead and the island represents Purgatory. Anything else . . . . ?

I don't think Locke or Eko are dead, but I do bet that Desmond is. I wish he wasn't cuz I like him a lot.

Before the place blew, Desmond told Locke, "You saved my life so I could save yours" or something like that....
Anyway he said he was gonna save Locke's life and the writers don't drop those hints on accident. So I guess that means that Locke is alive.

Eko has taken over things in the hatch and he was with Locke so I guess he's alive too.

Michael and Walt won't make it away from the island. I don't know why, they just won't. Maybe Michael will feel guilty. I'm just glad that he'll stop saying "I'm gonna get back my son!" through his teeth.

Hurley won't head back to the beach because he knows that Sayid is in the boat and right behind them. So he'll head towards them. Sayid will shift the situation in the Losties favor.

I have no theories on the "Foot Of Insanity". (Those of you who have seen The Princess Bride will remember the when they sailed up to the cliffs and Wallice Shawn says "We're here! The Cliffs Of Insanity!". When Sayid saw the 4 toed foot in the bonoculars me and my sister both thought of the Foot of Insanity. Coincedence?)

This is something I copied and pasted from another site and this is what the numbers mean.

4Hz 8Hz 15Hz 16Hz 23Hz 42Hz

"6 frequencies combined to form an electromagtic wave repeated for the purpose of altering or controlling organisms - including animals (we form and function via electrical pulses). EMF can cause various symptoms, such as metamorphesis, hearing voices, and hallucinations, AND have healing effects at the low-end frequencies mentioned above (Locke). Each frequency has a different effect - or affects us in a different way. Entering the numbers in the computer is programming the frequencies of the wave that the conductor transmits (programming the desired types of effect). If the countdown reaches 0 the cycle will be broken and the subjects will at least temporarily be free of the effects contaminating the research data, ending the experiment. This explains the difficulties getting comm and why the French lady's transmission was never picked up by anyone. I think it will also end up as the cause for all these planes crashing there - it's like trying to use a compass while standing under power lines. It might also explain why the plane mysteriously broke in half."

So now that they broke the electro magnetic thingy, there will no longer be any of those healing effects. Locke will now be paralized (which should be good TV. Another reason to support the theory that Locke will survive to Season 3. That and all the regular stars are still signed on to do the show.) And Rose will of course die. That's going to be very sad for Bernard. And me too, I guess. And Jinn will have to settle with one kid and maybe evreyone will get sick from this disease that people keep going on about.

Something very telling that I don't yet understand is why didn't Henry seem shocked or perturbed or anything about the hatch 'blowing up'? He didn't act like he cared. Hmm...

And I think the biggest clue that we've been given is what Henry said towards the end of the finale. "We're the good guys." I've been thinking about that ever since Goodwin said so earlier in the season.
I think that means that they're separate from the Hanso Foundation and trying to bring them down or something. I'm not sure. It think the show's writers have been trying to make us believe all this time that the other's WERE the Hanso Foundation. That would make a good Lost-type twist to find out that they aren't and that they have to team up with the Losties or something. The Others should teach the Losties some of their tricks. The Losties need all the help they can get.

So what about Penny...... hmmmm.... I don't really know. Are the Others in cahoots with Penny? Or is she in Cahoots with the Hanso Foundation? Is her father in cahoots with the Hanso foundation and she's in cahoots with the Others? Who's canoodling who's cahoots? I know that the men in the snow at the end were speaking Brazilian Portuguese. Hmmm.... Snow...
Portuguese.... Electro magnetic anomalies.... Penny.... races round the world in a boat that Libby left you......

Oh and I definitely think there was something more about Libby's husband and his death. I can't remember what she said though. I think we'll see her husband in a flashback and we will definitely recognise him! Hmmm... I guess she went crazy after he died.

I've been typing at this for a long time and I'm tired, but I feel better have gotten all this off my chest. I'll just leave you all with this last theory.

THE HANSO'S ARE TRYING TO START A WAR THAT WILL PROBABLY END THE WORLD. THE OTHERS ARE TRYING TO STOP THEM. THE LOSTIES HAVE ARRIVED JUST IN TIME TO SAVE THE WORLD!

Purgatory seems to be the most common answer. I've also heard the alternate dimension theory. Wherever they are, I'd like to know why Hurley hasn't lost any weight and why Jack's beard always looks like it just has a one-day growth. If I was there that long, I'd weigh 150 pounds and have a beard down to my waist!

Maybe they're all in a state of suspended animation and the island is a "dream" being projected into their subconscious.

I think the whole cast fell asleep and will realise that their adventures were all a dream when they wake up and find Bobby Ewing getting out of their shower!

Like many american products it gives you naff all for as long as they can string it out but just enough to keep you interested. I'd cancel the cheque.
