I'm always trying to keep up to date on the best online website builders. I'm interested in something:

* that creates a good looking website
* that includes a lot of features like a blog, mailing list options, etc.
* that is search engine friendly

I've already tried as many as I can find, but I'm trying to discover the hidden gems.

Cost isn't the issue here, though of course I'd love to find the gem that is also affordable to the average person.

[Note of Clarification: I'm looking for WEB-BASED site builders. Not hosting solutions or hard-drive based software. Thanks.]

wordpress depending on what type of site you want to build is good and free. I use xsitepro for a lot of my affiliate sites but for eCommerce sites where i need a shopping cart i use a builder called five minute builder. You do have to pay hosting on five minute builder but that's how most good eCommerce builders work that's how they make their money

I would lik to suggest SiteSell ( http://www.sitesell.com/Angela2.html2.html )

I have a background in web, but my sites never got traffic. They don't help so much with the graphic side, however they focus on preselling and driving traffic. You get to have your own domain name (no cheezy domain) I would show you my site, but I just got it up and running.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Dreamweaver with a combination of Frontpage.

Awesome combination.

For .NET websites, its Microsoft Visual Studio .NET ofcourse.
