what happend is pretty complicated but i will give you the jist of it, i was having trouble choosing between this "new" guy and my ex the "new" guy and myself are not dating, just talking, but we have a significant past with each other, me and my ex had been broken up for 3months but i had just told him that i wanted to stop seeing him all the time and explore my options, the "new" guy and me had plans for the whole weekend, i went to his house on thursday and was planning on staying till sunday, however friday night my ex showed up and persueded me to leave with him (he gave me significant reasons to go with him) but then my ex screwed up his chance and i had the "new" guy come pick me up on sunday afternoon and he still wants to persue a relationship with me, but i told him i would make it up to him (the hurt i caused by me leaving). My question is how to make it up to him, keep in mind i dont have any money, and i want to make it up anyway i can so please help.

Think about it. You hurt him because you refused to make a choice. You made it worse because you drug him into your confusion. How on earth did you ex know where he lived? By what stretch of the imagination did you feel it was at all appropriate for your ex to know where he and you were? Worse, that he knew (before he arrived), that you would tolerate his intrusion. Even worse, that you would reward his insolence by leaving with him?
You hurt him by refusing to make a choice. You hurt him worse by putting him in the middle of it and demeaning him in front of his rival. If you want to undo the hurt, you're not going to do it with money. You have to undo the damage you've done. FIRST: Make a choice and STICK WITH IT. Choose him over your ex. Do it clearly in a way that cannot be questioned. What this guy wants is you. So give him you. No reservations, no second thoughts, nothing held back.
Your ex isn't done playing with you yet. He had a wonderful time playing you for a fool this time. He's going to do it again. Trust me. He's not done having fun manipulating you (and humiliating this other guy). You humiliated and demeaned this new guy in front of your ex. Time to turn the tables. If you're serious about this guy, you need to do it brutally. When your ex contacts you again, and he will, reject him publically, where your new guy can see it happen. And do it brutally. Let your ex know, in no uncertain terms, you're leaving with the new guy to **** his brains out. Then do it, and never, even once, speak to your ex again.
You may need a restraining order. If you do, then get it. Otherwise, play this game again and I leave you to your misery.

I don't think you need to do anything other than spend time with him. You sound like you've been honest with him about what is going on and your not in a committed relationship with him. The most you should do is cook him dinner and tell him how glad you are that things worked out so you two could spend more time together.

you should cook him a romantic dinner by candle light, go to the 99cent store they have really cute candles for 99 cents;) then make him something you both will like and talk to him the whole night about you two and a new relationship, he already sounds like hes into you or else he wouldn't have gone to pick you up after you left

You shouldn't do anything. If this guy wants to be with you after your ex came and picked you up from HIS house. And this idiot picked you back up from your ex's after staying a couple of days, then this dummy wants to be with you. I don't know why, but it seems all you have to do is say a couple im sorry's to this dumb *** and you'll be fine.
