LPN's are Licensed Practical Nurses. They are at a lower level than RN's (Registered Nurses), who have real degrees and medical knowledge. LPN's clean up patients and do dirty work like that. They are basically assistants to RN's. I hope I helped.

Licensed Practical Nurse, they are below a Registered Nurse (RN)...a lot of LPN's tend to get the jobs in retirement/nursing home as apposed to RN's working in the hospitals....in my town all of the LPN's can't work in the hospitals bc they can't pass med's without an RN with them...if your persuing a nursing degree...you could do like im doing im going to either get my paramedic or my surg. tec while i wait to get into the nursing program and with those courses alot of the classes with transfer over into the nursing program
