without knowing what job you are interviewing her for, some good questions are :
How did you get interested in this field?
what are your strengths and weaknesses (as it pertains to what you're interviewing her for)
describe a situation where you had to go above and beyond your job description
describe a situation where you didn't get along with a co-worker and how did you handle it?
where do you see yourself (as it relates to this job) in 2 years?
describe a difficult situation with a supervisor and how did you handle it?
these can be used for starters then as she talks you can get a feel for more questions

- How did she become involved in it.. was it a childhood dream?
- Wat were the ups and downs of business?
- Starting a business is hard and a scary thing.. how was starting the business for you? Were you nervous and were there hardships or did things run smoothly from day one?
- How did you develop your clientelle?
- How is business going? Are you satisfied with it up to this point or do you have improvements in mind? If so, what are they?
- What is your "vision" for the business? What are your dreams and goals for it?
- Do you love/like or tolerate what you do?(and why?) What do you like about this particular business? And what do you dislike about it?
- How long has your business been open? How many employees work for you?
- On average what is the starting sallary for a starting hairdresser.. and what is the maximum amount an amazing hairdresser can make, let us say, working with the stars or for films?
Here are just a few to get you started- to get the juices flowing.. ask what YOU want to know though and have some fun. These skills are great because this is how you will interact with people you meet later on in life. When you meet someone you may end up asking all sorts of questions out of interest and to engage the person into bonding with you (male or female) for business purposes or just for friendship building. Good social work project!
Remeber- when you go in there, be confident.. and be professional. Have a clipboard with your questions printed out and then then scribble your notes under the room that you made under each question. Move through the questions at your own speed. If another question arrises that is not on the sheet of questions, jot it down and ask.. Good luck sweetie and have fun!!

I wouldn't focus so much on how long her business was open for i would want to know about the treatments used in the salon what are the benefits, and on which customers are they used, such as body wraps for those who want to loose weight.
I would ask what beauty routines does she recommend, for maintaining healthy skin.
Ask about all the different beauty treatments used in the salon
What is the most popular treatments requested by customers
What are the products made from, and would you be able to find similar products that do the same job in the shops
What made her decide to go into the beauty career.
I hope these are useful.

It's spelled salon
Well first ask how long the business has been in operation and what has changed since then.
What services does the salon offer?
How does she select the talent at the salon?
How many beauticians are working there?
What product lines do they sell and use?
There is some to get you started.
