I dont understand why some girls dont like sci fi movies but love stupid chick flicks where the girl get "the prince in the white horse" i think that that is real SCI FI more than spaceships and other worlds, what do you think?

i LOVE Sci-fi and only like a few chick flicks. You could say the whole knight in shinning armor thing is sci-fi, more fantasy really. I would rather watch movies about spaceships and other worlds than a chick flick any day!

I'm OK with both genre of film. There's no real preference of one over the other. I just think it's more of a matter of personal choice for each individual.
For example, guys generally gravitate more toward blood, gore therefore for them, action & horror are top picks, the latter being a lame excuse to get their girl to snuggle up when startled during chilling scenes=P
Also, Sci-Fi movies are normally far fetched & fiction based which is hard to swallow for one not familiar with the genre, making chick-flicks easier options, maybe...

I love Sci-fi movies!!!! They are sooo cool and sometimes depending on the plot could be reality one day. I am not a big fan of chick flicks...EWWWW!!!! Titanic was about the only chick flick I liked and that's only because it was a real tragedy. I don't I am not much of the traditional chick anyways. Just ask my b/f Lemons! lol!♥

There are some genres that divide the genders like that (I bet a lot of girls have real trouble understanding the joy of Sci FI)

Because "girls" are dumb. Women watch Sci-Fi. Chronicles of Riddick was awesome!
