Bush = 50,456,002 47.87%
Gore= 50,999,897 48.38%
The most important total was:
Electoral votes:
Bush 271 -- Bush won 30 States
Gore 266 -- Gore won 20 States and 1 DC
This meant the majority of the people in the majortiy of the States wanted Bush...
And the majority of the people in the minority of the states wanted Gore...
Which means the Electoral College is very important. to the US

Gore the Socialist tried to steal it by throwing out Military votes because he knew most of the Military would vote Bush.
In the end Gore the sore loser conceded Florida to Bush and what really gets me is while Bush outranked Gore by not much in Florida there were States where Gore outranked Bush by not much but guess what no recounts in those States (Bush didn't even ask for a recount in those states anyways).
Had Gore actually won Florida, Bush would have conceded Florida to Gore immediately.

The winner played by the rules (won most electoral votes), the loser didn't. Loser filed suit in Florida court (it is a states rights issue), winner asked US Supreme Court (that's why libs quote Bush V Gore rather than the original suit Gore V Bush).
