Is there any metal band better then "Metallica"?

I give you a lot of credit for even asking that question. Hopefully you are actually curious and will check out my recommendations, because in my opinion, there are many!! I can't knock Metallica, as they should be credited with being influential in their genre, but that doesn't mean there aren't better bands out there... especially when it depends on your opinion, and this is mine...

I would recommend you check out Nevermore (from Seattle, WA) and Strapping Young Lad (from Vancouver, BC, Canada). Both bands absolutely kill Metallica in overall musicianship and songwriting skills, and they both keep getting better with every new album release, unlike the subject of your question!!

I will put two links below, one for Amazon.com's sample tracks from Nevermore's newest album, "This Godless Endeavor." Recommended songs: "Final Product" and "Sentient 6." The second one is to Amazon's page for SYL's "City." Recommended Songs: "All Hail the New Flesh" and "AAA."

In case the first two bands I recommended are too heavy for you, I will also put a link to Amazon's page for Iced Earth's "The Dark Saga." Recommended songs: "The Hunter" and "Slave to the Dark." Iced Earth is from the USA, and they are a bit more approachable for the average Metallica fan, if that is more your thing! They are also extremely talented, and blow Metallica away in my opinion!!

If you really want to get the full experience for any of these bands, you are going to have to download full songs, then full albums, and full discographies! METAL!!!!!!

My dear friend, most of actual metal bands are better than Metallica. Of course, it wasn't the case in the 80's... but nowadays, any band can compete with Metallica.

Just to name a few, here a a list of bands that I kinda like and that I'd never trade for Metallica :

Amon Amarth, Dark Tranquillity, Ensiferum, Equilibrium, Falkenbach, Finntroll, Haggard, Moonsorrow, Therion, Turisas, Vintersorg, Arch Enemy, Kreator, Slayer, Tvangeste, Wintersun...

There is hardly ANY metal band WORSE than Metallica. Why don't you go and listen to some TRUE metal that doesn't turn NU just to sell more records?!

Judas Priest, Blind Guardian, Gamma Ray, Falconer, Masterplan, Freedom Call, Grave Digger, Iron Maiden, Hammerfall, Edguy, Sonata Arctica, Turisas, Dream Evil, Helloween, Motorhead....

These are all TRUE metal bands, no NU commercial crap.

You may not agree, but I would say yes. Metallica hasn't made a CD I would actually buy since the early 1990's. They're not even really "metal" anymore. Marilyn Manson and Rob Zombie both kick the crap out of Metallica in my opinion, but if you like them, that's cool.

You cant compare metallica to other bands, each have their own class, And metallica definitely rule in their class. Rob Zombie rules in his gendre. S.O.A.D, Nailbomb, SEPULTURA all are headbangers for sure but, to each his own, so lets not degrade Metallica or any other bands, Cuz all of them made Metal what it is today.........
