The best part about the 4th of July is our ancestors. If they had not been who they were, and done what they did, we would not e be able to enjoy the freedom to do the the things we take for granted. They were the ones that broke free from Mother England and signed that Declaration 230 years ago making us a free country. While we are attending cookouts and watching fireworks, let us celebrate their strength, their bravery and their courage.

The best thing about 4th of July for me is it's the half year anniversary for my husband to be and me. The weekend before next 4th of July I will be Mrs. Jason Friedhoff. This year we have been together 3 1/2 years.

I get to play with fire! I always seemed to be sick on the 4th as a kid, so I couldn't shoot off fireworks much (I watched the Indianapolis fireworks go off from my hospital window when I was 7). Now I have a husband who is as big a pyromaniac as I am, and who thinks you can never have too much black powder!
