Firstly do not go to a modeling agency without a portfolio as they will want you to get one and these can be very expensive, you best bet is to get a friend to take a lot of photos of you with a digital camera (in different clothes and backgrounds) and then select a 10-20 really nice photos and create a digital portfolio which you can put this on line and just have business cards with the link on, a lot cheaper than having them printed. examples of work can be provided on request. just message me here if you want, i am a professional website designer but have lots of free time (and enough money) so i am currently doing free sites for small bands, small artist etc, basically anyone who could not afford them otherwise.

One thing you have to know about agencies when trying to choose one to represent you; they work for YOU. They may ask you to make a portfolio (which is a book of all your best pictures). They should have a photographer you can use/ or they can recommend a good one. This portfolio is what you will carry around to show employers for consideration for work.
Be leary on some agencies- they may talk fast and pull you in but when really all they want to do is take your money for high fees and make you take pictures at really high prices becasue they get a cut for them. Be careful. Do a search online for precautionaries when choosing a modeling agency (to represent you). Good luck you gorgeous thing!!

AMAZING HOW MANY STUPID PEOPLE ARE ON HERE. (answers above). I take it your already a plus-size lady and you're super beautiful and want to get into plus-size modeling. Makes total sense. I wanted to be a plus size model at one point in my life too. I know you have to be a perfect size 18. Thats what the perfect plus size model would idealy be. There are alot of agencies out there. If u are very skinny u might want 2 eat alot and get into the modeling agency

First of all don't let up on the eating....Then go into a store in the mall called Layne Bryant, and find out who there advertisers are and contact them.

also u can look it up on the internet..
They do have plus size models in magazines and such. So I am sure there is an opportunity for you somewhere.

go to a modeling website..like johnrobertpowers...put ingoogle or sumthin..then u fill out a form..and ..im not a plus model..i just kno that think have models that are..they might ask you to send in snapshots
