My divorce will be final in September. My boyfriend, who I love more than I could ever imagine, wants to get married as soon as the ink is dry. How can I let him know that I want to be stable in a home, not a rental, before marriage again. I don't want the same stresses from my first marriage to be in the second. Can you help?

girl dont get married again so fast. you learned the hard way the first time, right? so you need to have a talk with him and tell him clearly. tell him that you love him and you care for him and want to be together. but you are still hurt from your divorce and you want everything stable from the beginning befor getting married again. tell him that this is the way you want it and hopfully he will understand. if not then you will just have to get a little mean with him and put your foot down. tell him how you want things and thats it. if he really loves you then he will wait.

Well, if you're trying not to make the same mistakes, then let him know this. Talk to him openly when things need to be said, communication is one of the biggest barriers for failed marriages.

Tell him all this. If he really loves you, he'll understand - but you shouldn't be dating him while you're still technically married, and you shouldn't date until you've been divorced a solid year.

tell him that!!!just sit him down and tell him that you arent ready to get married again yet!!!(the yet it very important to a guy)if he really does love you then he will understand and he will wait untill you are ready!!!!i wish you the best of luck!!!:D

Just sit him down and talk to him about it. This is something important that affects both your lives. Don't get pressurised into doing something you don't want to do right now.
