"A player can't get 3 yellow cards in one match"
Good point, but it happened to Simunic. He received a yellow early on in the game and another in the 80something minute, which the ref must not have realized that it was his second. He then received another a few minutes later and the ref gave a red card that time. Check the FIFA website if you don't believe it.

you cant get three in one match.
