BE YOURSELF!

2006-07-03 06:10:45 · answer #1 · answered by Pits4Me 4 · 0 0

I suppose a related question would be: What sort of guy do you want to attract, and do you want thinness and fashion to be the thing that attracts him to you?

Personally, I would prefer a guy take notice of and approach me for my personality above all else. If he's checking out my body, then coming and continuing to do so, that is a DEFINITE turn-off. It's one of the first signs that he's more interested in what color my undergarments happen to be than my favorite authors.

If a guy is attracted to you for your thinness, what makes you think he wouldn't pressure you into maintaining that thinness for the sake of appearance? He might start telling you you're too fat, and you might feel pressured into taking measures to be thinner. This is the sort of thing that leads to low self-esteem, anorexia, bulimia, an inferiority complex, dependency, and any number of other things.

As for fashion, I would say it's the more important of the two, for an answer that skims the surface. But remember that fashion can be expensive, and it's important to find your own style and not be pulled into a particular group that doesn't fit who you are. I call it the "glossy magazine syndrome." Carry yourself well in anything you wear, and chances are that your smile and the set of your shoulders will be the first thing that's noticed.

Look for a guy who likes you for you! If he's more concerned with how you look on his arm than what's going on in your head, he's not worth it! Personality over popularity, girl.

Fashionable

Fashionable I'd say. You can have a body like Beyonce but it wont do much good if you're wearing stuff from 1990 that you bought in a thrift store. Or wearing a T-shirt 3 sizes too big that makes you look like a box. No one would ever know you had all those curves underneath. But plus-sized women and men are beautiful too when they wear the right things. All sizes can look pretty, or just plain ugly Haha. :P

It really shouldn't matter, though. But people are shallow...and that's the pure told truth. :/

I guess no guy probably wants his woman to have really bad fashion habbits. However, I don't think men look for an extremely obese and unhealthy person. I think it would be more important to have a pretty good fashion sense and not be tooo overweight. A little bit overweight is appealing to some men.

Well in between the thin and fashionable part you first off have to a Brian!!!Guy love to look at skinny, well dressed girls, but you have to be able to put up a good conversation to keep them interested!!And not annoyed!!I mean I can't stand talking to stupid girls no matter how pretty and well dressed they are. I'm sure a large number of guys feel that way too.You can only handle so much stupidity in one conversation!!

I could care less about fashion as long as you look nice in what you are wearing, don't take this to mean that I like overly thin women though.I really prefer health sized girls and am trying to get across the idea of dressing to flatter what you have.

Neither. Be yourself. You are more likely to be remembered if you are unique. Thin? Not so worried about it. Healthy? Definetly!
Fashionable? Fashion changes every minute, good luck keeping up. A self confident person who values herself and treats herself well is the ultimate fashionista. I see your pic, you are beautiful. you can pull off any look you want. Clothing and accessories are second to a beautiful smile, friendly 'Hi sweety',and looking like you take care of yourself. My one little indulgence, i like a girl who smells good, so a little perfume. go get em kid.

thin or healthy.. ? thin is not my thing.. thin is not healthy.. but from the females perspective.. they call it 'a few extra pounds'. I can't understand that..
Long legs are not mandatory ..
Bony ribs are disgusting..
And, despite popular opinion.. the healthy ones that have a decent body figure and somewhat of an hourglass frame and are equally proportioned from top to bottom regardless of weight are the most popular from the perspective of the eyes of 90% of men.

Just as an example..
My ex-wife was 5' 5" .. and weighed about 125-130.. that was perfect for me.
Too bad her morals didn't match her body.

Take a look around at different couples together... everyone has different types they are attracted to. Some like thin, some like athletic, some like thick, some like large. No matter what your size you can look good if you wear clothes that fit. Too small looks terrible and too big looks frumpy. Look in the mirror before you purchase and be true to yourself.
