Its a chemical that is used that seals the wood to keep from it splintering when someone crashes. must be able to stand up to high amounts of abuse

i would probably say your thinking about Skatelite. I assume your talking about Half Pipes like in the X-Games or other major contests. Skatelite isnt actually a chemical, i forget what exactly its made of but it comes in sheets, like a 4 x 8 piece of plywood
