Joey Galloway had a 4.36 not a 4.18.
The true fastest player is Alvis Whitted of the Raiders with a 4.24.
The 2nd fastest guy is Allan Rossuh a CB from the Falcons with a 4.26.
3rd is a tie between Antonio Brown from the Cowboys , Donte Stallworth of the Saints, Jerome Matthis of the Texans, Randy Moss and Randal Williams of the Raiders (they all had a 4.28).

And remember you heard the RIGHT answers from me first.

Joey Galloway has been a friend of my family's for over 15 years. His record time IS 4.18, to correct all you nay-sayers.Though, It has changed over the years because of age. D'angelo Hall is a close second with 4.20 as his record time. The current fastest Player in the league is Alvis Whitted, a Wide receiver for the Raiders, with a 4.24

LOL...a 4.10 time in the 40? No way...if they could do that they'd be track stars not playing football...that is world class sprinters speed.......have read articles from different NFL scouts, all of them say 40 times are greatly exagerated.....all 3 of the scouts said the fastest they have personally seen and timed were in the low 4.4s

impossible to tell, because when they get 40 times, it's in conditions that are as perfect as possible.....no pads, weather good, maybe a little wind. try timing them with full pads on, guarantee there won't be any sub 4.40 times. as for the fastest, saw it on ESPN this year during the ProBowl special, DeAngelo Hall won the 40 yard dash competition. They don't give times with that though, so you'll have to use the 4.28 or whatever he ran at his rookie pro day for the NFL Draft.

Pound for Pound? Vernon Davis, TE from Maryland. He ran a 4.38 40 at a staggering weight of 255 pounds (6'3" height).

No guy faster even comes within 40 pounds of him! Talk about crazy.

I had heard from a few sources that it was Micheal Vick, but I have yet to find any proof of that. He's hard to catch, thats for sure, but as for raw speed, I'm not sure I can agree with him being the fastest.
