Since leaving office, President Jimmy Carter has repeatedly undermined U.S. foreign policy, criticized the missions of the men and women of the United States Armed Forces, as well as embracing known terrorists and terrorist organizations.

Honey, now just because the man is doing more out of office than what he did in office doesn't mean that he needs to shut up. Habitat for Humanity is a wonderful organization(when was the last time you helped someone in need and felt good about it?), maybe if you opened your mind a bit and stop making Reagan a demi-god, then you'll see that Mr. Carter has plenty to say. We do need fewer secrets because the American people have been played long enough. Mr. Carter never wore his religion on his sleeve and he never did any malicious to pass any policies or get things to go his way. Has Bush(Sr.or Jr.) won the Nobel Peace Prize? Has Bush(Sr. or Jr.)earned the respect of even the most right winged folks ever imagined? Let's face it, boo. Jimmy Carter's getting more love now than he ever did back in the day. All presidents have messed up, even your beloved Reagan. So get off of Jimmy's back and why don't you do something in your community, city, and state instead of bashing someone who's doing more with his service instead of yourself with lip service. I'm not dissing you baby, but get up, get out, and do something! Do something besides bash and criticize. We have enough folks doin' that now! Take care, dear.

Jimmy is an appeaser and I believe he also has some socialist beliefs as well. Do you remember his visit to Cuba to see Castro? Does this tell you something about Jimmy, the worst President in American history? Have you ever heard Jimmy say anything bad about the terroists and yet he never wastes an opportunity to bash President Bush! I agree with you that he is a peanut brain and I wish he would get out of the political spectrum and back to his peanut farm in Georgia!

Carter did get the hostages released the. They literally arrived on Reagan's first day, as he was taking the oath.
If anybody out there has a problem with Jimmy, they can take it up with me!

Our hostages were not released until after Reagan was elected. This is true. What is also true is that Reagan had a secret agreement, a secret treaty worked (illegally, of course) to delay the release of the hostages.
The real problem with Carter was that he was to much of a REAL MAN, too moral, too Christian, to use dirty trick politics.

The reality is that former President Carter is one of the greatest ex-presidents of all time. While others have spent their time earning millions for dubious speaking engagements, or just golfing, Carter has kept himself active in so many ways it's hard to keep track. He has consistently put word to action, and continues to assist those who are in tough economic and political situations around the world. I would suggest you revisit some non-partisan resources of history for a more in-depth and detailed overview of his Presidency. Certainly not without mistakes, but you cannot find fault with his motivation. He truly is a man of his word; high moral character and profoundly in love with his country.

Why are you so wound up about Jimmy Carter? He has a right to challenge his government as do you and I.
Is Mr. Carter referring to the spying on U.S. citizens via their phone calls? Or, is he referring to the FBI searching patron library records? Maybe he's challenging the government's interferrence into our private lives without our knowledge or permission?
