My brother....
He saved 3 of my siblings once; when he was very young (8 or so) can’t remember.
My brother Vic, Ed and my sister where all "with him" playing "space ship" in an old frig. basically my brother broke out the glass to save them. That day was the beginning of his hero stardom. After that he saved many other lives in other situations. He is decent and a gentleman to me...when ever I am around him, he checks my tires on my car - he escorts me to get gas in the car and pumps it for me. When things were rough during the hurricane season last year, many people refused to go and deliver water to survivors because of it being so out of control and was not yet safe to be there in New Orleans he was the only one from his company to stand up and say "he would go"
He is the father of two children - his wife passed away from cancer and took on the responsibility of being mom and dad. He's retired from the Navy after serving 20 years of service.
Recently married again, (who by some rare cruel joke of the Gods)...has found himself married yet ...to another cancer victim for which he cares for as unselfishly. The treatments are expensive, but he doesn't complain.
I admire him - he's the best brother anyone could ask for...He's caring and loving and puts his own needs a side for people. He may not be the "best looking man" in the world or have super human strength.......but his heart is made of gold and he's my hero.
