We aren't interested in politics because its just a bunch of lies. Politicians say what they have to to get elected and once they are there they don't do anything they promised. It's all a bunch of bull.

Don't include all Americans because of a few who wouldn't know a brick wall if they ran into it and you will find quite a few of those right here in Q&A and most of those are most likely some who can vote in elections but never do and all they enjoy is complaining. True Americans vote for their elected officials.
You don't mention where you are from in your question but I can tell from your question that your not an American, so what gives you the right to complain about our country and our President?
Now to answer your question, we Americans who vote have great pride in our rights and attempt to put the best and most qualified persons in elected offices. We may not be perfect but we come damned close to it and that responsibility falls on our shoulders as a free people. I don't agree with everything our President makes decisions on but I will back him in any judgement to make and keep this great country of ours a Free Nation. Patriotic...
you better believe it and so will millions of other Americans.

Why do you non-Americans lump all us Americans into a single group?

Did you happen to notice that Bush got less than 50% of the popular vote in 2000 and barely more in 2004?

Some of us are interested in politics and are concerned about what he's putting us through in addtion to the rest of the world.

For the most part, we are just as involved with politics as any other person in the world. It is the state of the world to choose to be invested in politics or not. It is American to be able to decide how and when to participate.

As for our President. he does what he believes to be in the best interest not only of Americans, but of all people in the world. Many countries are not fortunate to have leaders who value their right to live as a human and be treated humanely.

So, are you calling the efforts to take people out of persecution and out from under the rule of tyrants "demonic" work? Do you not think people deserve to have the right to vote, the right to worship as they choose, the right to live their lives free from injustice? Well, that's your opinion.

Fortunately for you, most citizens of the USA believe you are entitled to your own beliefs and opinions, however misguided they may be.

We are not very interested in politics for a few reasons, at least from my point of view. First, all politicians are the same, republican/Democrat, they are all the same. They care about money and power. We are shown ads in election years of who not to vote for and why, never why someone is best for the job. It is very hard to get involved when you are given a choice between two evils. The other reason is somewhat more subtle, but it makes sense to me. As we go through school as kids, we are convinced of the greatness and power of our country and government, as we get older and see the things that our government does, we don't know how to deal with it, it is never given as an option. We are like rabbits being chased by dogs, we never stand up and fight, we are only concerned with dodging them, it has always been their, just like the sky and we become accustomed to it.

Well, that's the way the machine of government wants it. It's all about mass distraction. If the masses are kept at bay by way of shiny toys and fancy gadgets, i.e. consumerism, then they will under develop in their political lives. This makes it much easier for the controlling parties (big business, old money) to maintain a dominant position. Most of us Americans are just "doing what we're told." Much like the soldiers of the Wehrmacht claim.

Does that make you feel better?

What rock did you just crawl out from under? Of course Americans are interested in Politics. Just because you seem to not care for our President doesn't mean jack to us. I for one am quite pleased with his performance so far.

"We Americans" aren't interested in politics because we aren't commonly taught to think, but merely to have oppinions. Thing is, it's not a solely American mindset. If you honestly believe that America is the world's only blind nation, nobody ever taught you to think either. Just my oppinion.

Because politicians in this country ar all out for themselves they do not care about anyone else. When we vote, we are basically voting for the lesser evil. Which sucks, thats why I dont vote.

Because we're too lazy to go out and vote, and most of us are ostriches. We love to stick our heads in the sand and pretend is everything is okay. I know it's pitiful, but that's the truth.
