The Revolution was a war the lead to the formation of the United States. The reason for the war by America was freedom from England and no unfair taxation.

The Civil War was won by the North and fought from the North's point of view because the United States must remain one country, preservation of the Union, because the South would not give up their slaves when it was outlawed, I think. So the war was also fought to end slavery, at least it seems so.

World War I and II was fought to stop Germany from murdering and torturing, and also to prevent them from taking over the world and using fascism. We believe in a democracy so it was a war we had to fight. Japan was fought over occupation in I believe some islands over there, maybe the Philippines but not sure, and in retaliation of a brutal assualt on Hawaii.

Cause we can.

And probably will do so for a very long time.

Its easier to blame someone else for your troubles than to deal with them yourself.

A war is the same principle on a larger scale most of the time.

Probably over limited resources such as food or shelter. It was easier to take out someone else than to share. After a while, people grouped together in numbers and fought in large masses. At least that's my guess.
