Very good interpretation. Good performances by all concerned. I would give it 3 out of a possible 4 stars.

Brandon Routh played a great Superman and reminded me a lot of Christopher Reeves
Kevin Spacey played a better Lex Luthor than Gene Hackman.
Kate Bosworth was not a very good Lois Lane I thought Margot Kidder played her better.
all in all I thought the movie was very good. I thought Kevin played Lex much more ruthless like he is in the comic books.

just as a matter of interest did you know there is a curse on the movie and any other ones that will be made ? the man and his partner who actually thought up Superman were left out of the credits so did a curse .[and looked what happened ] not just Christopher,but Marlon and his kids . and the women who played Lois Lane .all bad things happened . oh yes and Richard Pryor

In some ways all 3! Worth seeing, but I thought the plot was a bit trite (and yes, "even" for a comic book movie). The effects were great, the john-williams inspired music was awesome, but it was also a bit long. Might I suggest seeing it in IMAX 3-D. Faster than a concession stand line!!

i saw it in 3-D. and it was great. the special effects were amazing. although the opening credits were retro and like 5 min long. plot was like way out there, and it dragged out too long. the ending was strange. SPOILER: superman is like dead, but then lives. while he was dead, it made you think of a few things. one had to do with a little boy called jason. go see it if you have time.

Have been waiting to see it for years. Going today.

OK went to see it yesterday, and thought it was Great!
Acting, Special Effects, etc., were top shelf.
Don't want to give away any spoilers, but Bryan Singer set up the 2nd movie perfectly.

It seems interesting, but I'm not that much of a Superman fan. I'm more like a Spiderman one. Spiderman RULES!
