Because a lot of people in this country have this weird idea that women aren't worthy of a presidency. This my dear is B/S. If all people are created equal don't you think that this should include women? I think so.

I'll keep a watch on answers to this and see how many Chauvinist pigs there are.

In the world or in the U.S? In the world, there's a country in Africa who has a woman President, but in the U.S., women have suffered for many years to get the rights that men have and many have thought that being president is a man's job, but I feel that it's time to have a woman president in office because a woman will have different opinions than men will on many issues.

Too many voters are men, and men have trouble accepting women in leadership positions. They always assume women would allow their emotions to get in the way of making important decisions. But after seeing what men have done with the position, I hardly think there are that many women who could do worse. I say give them a chance, as well as blacks, hispanics, and maybe even a non-Christian; can't be any worse than what we've already got.

Because there's never been a viable women candidate. There are millions of *women* in the US that would not vote for a woman president, so it's rather an uphill battle.

Well, I really don't want most women making decisions for this Country but estrogen is not as bad as testosterone. That's what George Bush has - tooo much testosterone and it makes him egotistical and wipes out his brain power.
Maybe a woman past menopause or a man past his prime are the best candidates.

Because you cannot trust a creature that bleeds for a week straight and does not die! Or maybe because there have been viable candidates as it is mostly men who are groomed for the role of president. But, Hilary stands a good shot!

The best one that the U.S.A. had to become the president was Elizebth Dole! She did not get elected because of the male bias towards a woman canidate.

I agree Lord help us all if Billary gets elected........I mean Hillary.

I believe there will be a woman elected president when a viable qualified person decides to run. I haven't seen any one out there yet that I really feel is qualified, nor represents my views.

There are and have been women presidents and prime ministers in other countries, though.

UK, Phillipines, Chile, Israel to name four.

God help us if Hillary is elected here.
