Raised white bumps on the tongue, inside the cheeks, or on the gums can be a sign of thrush. Both you and your baby need to be treated for it; either talk to your doctor for a prescription medication or to a pharmacist for an over-the-counter treatment.
Other bumps...I don't know. Show your pediatrician.

I have 4 children. I would do ANYTHING for mine. Including feeling silly for going to the Doctors or ER. Who cares! When you have a baby even the doctors will tell you that you know your baby best, don't ever second guess your mother's instinct. If you feel that there is something wrong, Go to the doctor. It NEVER hurts to make sure, but it can hurt if you don't. Not that I'm trying to scare you but really, you could tell us that your 2 month old has "bumps" although some people will answer right away that your son has thrush, an allergic reaction or this or that... they aren't M.D.'s Even a Doctor would tell you that they can not diagnosis your son with out seeing him. So, how could any of us know, really? We can guess, you don't want your baby to suffer if it turns out that it's something more serious, or painful. My point is that you never know with infants and they can't tell you. DON'T TAKE ANY CHANCES! Call your doctor! I hope this helps:) GOOD LUCK & BEST WISHES to you and your 2 month old!

that sounds like thrush, it is a very common type of yeast type infection alot of babies get in thier mouths, all 4 of my kids got it, you can take them to the dr. and get this yellowish liquid you put on the babies mouth and after a few days it will go away, thrush will make your babies mouth rather sore also, so you may notice the baby is a little fussy when trying to eat. you can also look up thrush online and maybe find a home remedy for it, but it is nothing to worry about it happens alot, after you get rid of it try not to touch the babies bottle nipples with your hands or mouth, alot of mothers will hold the babies bottle nipple in thier own mouth to kinda have a 3rd hand to help when moving the baby, and they can get it there, we have naturally occuring yeasts in our bodies that we can handle a newborn or very young baby will develop thrush if exposed to it, so also try boiling the bottle nipples before and after use.

THRUSH take him to the Dr. and remember to sterilize bottles and paci's too...Give him the NYSTATIN ointment until there is no sign of thrush...the rash can go through his entire digestive system... P.S. get some desitin as the medicine can cause a diaper rash...Change him OFTEN and don't wait for rash to put ointment on him front and back!!!

he probably has a very simple bacterial infection called thrush, lots of babies get it, take him to his doctor and they will give you something to clear it up. Be sure to boil a bottles, nipples and eating utensils until it does.

I'm not trying to be all gross or anything, but do you or your spouse have herpes? It can be passed down to the child if you didnt have a C-section.
