Do you agree? The first pro-choice movement in the south under the Democrats who wanted to keep slavery and expand it seem to have the same aguments as the pro-aboration people have. 1st, neither value human life, the speaker of the house in 1864 said: I personally don't own a slave BUT I don't want to stop any other from his legal right to own a slave.(I've heard that somehere). The Pro-Choice slave owners wanted to expand slave ownership westward, just as the Pro-Aboration want to expand aboration rights. The southerner's refered to their RIGHTS to own, beat, whip or kill slaves because" they" slaves/babies are not real human beings. Today's aborations are making the EXACT same claims and arguments as the slave owning ansectors did. Please read this history you will be blown away by the similarities.
It's all about what's human or just a baby or a black slave. They will go down in history together.
Question is: What do you think of history repeating again?

I disagree. You are coming from the aspect that the fetus is already a person, and therefor has human rights. We have still to decide when a fetus is an aware person - yet we do know that the woman carrying that fetus is fully a person who has the right to choose what she wants to do to her body.
I pose another question - if you found out that legalizing abortion could reduce crime (i.e. rape, murder, robbery, etc.) would you say it is okay then? Look up Stevin Levitt - he is an economist who found a statistical correlation between legalized abortion and a decrease in crime.

your history is a bit of a farce. The republicans did abolish slavery, but during the 1960's, the southern republicans became democrats, and the southern democrats (pro-segregation) became dixie-crats, and then republicans. The party names remained the same, but party members changed. Anyways, why do you need to villianize people with psuedo history to back you up.
Neither party cares about people. Perhaps your republican (war on drugs) buddies could tell you something about vietnam era alliances with drug lords, providing troops with heroin, iran-contra drug connections, and current taliban, afghan, us drug trafficing operations. Politics is a farse, and your radio buddy is only playing you since his own member (like w's) has gone limp.

The pro-lifers seem to have a problem looking at the quality of life. If you help your cause by taking in a pregnant teen or helping out at a domestic abuse shelter instead of demonstrating at abortion clinics, you'd gain a lot more converts to your cause-- a good cause by the way, but be FOR your cause, not against someone elses.

You are dealing with nuclear bombs here. The modern liberal HATES racism - even if he/she practices it. The modern liberal is obsessed with abortion rights - even if it started from a desire to reduce the population of the lower classes (read the history of Planned Parenthood).
Trying to get a modern liberal to deal with these two concepts simultaneously will cause 1000s and 1000s of instantaneous brain explosions. I hope you have a good lawyer. You're going to get sued.

Nice twist of the past and truth... Rush-like... of course you probably heard it from him or Couter... so I should probably be applauding their efforts...
why do conservatives preach about the "value of life" and not do anything about Darfur, N. Korea and China (both estimated to have death tolls 3 to 5 times that of Iraq under Hussein) and are pro-death penalty?
I guess you just value it when it suits you?

Yes. It is so true. You are so right. Wow. Thanks for enlightening me. I don't know if I would have ever connected those dots. I wish they were dippin dots. I really like dippin dots. They are so cold and firm and melty, and I just love the taste of them, almost as much as jelly bellies.
