squeeze the juice of 2 or 3 limes, do gargles with it for as long as you can then drink it, the vitamin C will help you a lot.

Try Dayquil for during the day, and Nyquil at night. Be careful, though, because Nyquil can make you VERY sleepy, and if you are planning on drinking alcohol, don't take any antihystamines or decongestants.
There are some great teas for sore throats, like Throat Soothers by Celetial seasinings, which is fantastic and you can get it at most grocery stores.
Also, just try some honey and lemon in some hot water, which will certainly help your throat. Good luck, and feel better!

Without more information, it's difficult to tell if you have a cold or it's just allergies. 'Just allergies'..sorry, I don't mean to make them sound trivial, because they're not. Allergies can make a person feel like they have the flu sometimes! All I can say, it drink plenty of water. If your body is not feeling bad, get plenty of exercise.
