Check out the web site for AFTRA (Associated Film, Television, & Radio Artists) They have a list of agents on there that they have checked out. That doesn't mean the agents are necessarly good, but at least they aren't con artists. As mentioned above, your photos should be 8X10 and color is pretty standard these days. They should also have your name on them in BIG LETTERS and a resume attached to the back so that the agent can turn it over and see what you have done so far. (acting classes, plays, or whatever.) Be careful and NEVER agree to sign on with an agent that wants you to spend money up front. This is not standard procedure. Good Luck!

There are lists of agents on lacasting.com. I think you may have to pay to have access to them. They'll also sell you pre-printed mailing labels so that you can send out a mailing with photo/resume/ what have you.

Headshot photos are size 8x10 and make sure it's in color.

There are a lot of "agents" that will try to convince you that they will promote your child and end up scoring hundreds if not thousands of dollars off you.

What attributes does your child have that you think will be marketable?

Are you trying to buy or sell a kid? I know agents who do both.
