That was pretty funny. Bush got his *** kicked. But Americans don't watch debates they watch crap on TV and see comericals and "flip flop" is easy to remember.

Kerry was/is a person that is hard to identify with. He is rich because he married a rich snot. He acts stuffed up and aloof. Although Bush is a bumbling idiot sometimes, it is easier for people to identify with him. We know that we make plenty of mistakes while speaking and can understand the problems Bush has with spontaneous questions. He just came across as more likeable and real. Plus he is strong on defense and also is not afraid to admit that he is a Christian. Kerry worries too much about being politically correct. I think their wives had a little to do with it also. Bush won that part easily.

Debates don't mean a thing. Do you seriously think that being a good debater -- especially in the phony debate format politicians use -- has ANYTHING to do with being a good leader? Sure it helps to think quick, no doubt about it. But would you want your leader making snap decisions -- on tv, no less -- on important issues?
All political debates are a waste of time. They measure things that have nothing to do with the job. Would you want to have a job interview for whatever it is you do where you had to debate the other candidates? How relevant would THAT be?
The debates are glamour shows. Who looks better? Who speaks clearer? Who has memorized more answers? Who can express him or herself in a more appealing way (or, cynically, who has memorized the most appealing catchphrases)? In a recent debate between democratic candidates for governor in California neither fo the candidates was even addressing the questions being asked; they were so anxious to get their memorized jargon out there that they -- incredibly -- never even made reference to the questions being asked.
If you're picking who to vote for with input from debates I'd suggest you're using the wrong criteria.

It's all about perception!
Your wording and formulation of this question suggest that you do your best to sound 'politically correct' but in the end I highly doubt if you'll be able to get the REAL answer you're looking for.
Good luck!
P.S. Bush will not run for President in the next election

Bush's GPA was actually higher than Kerry's. He may not be able to gracefully articulate his thoughts but he is smarter than Kerry, but not by much!

The majority of the voters didn't remember "Kerry whooped Bush's @ss"...they remembered the endless repetition of "flip flopping Kerry". Both candidates sucked balls anyways.

So the better speaker wins? Personally I listen to the content. Hitler was a great speaker, but that didn't make him any one I would want as leader. Kerry had pretty words, but said nothing.

Pres. Bush's handlers knows that the average american IQ is
the equivalence of 8th grader and by the time they have figured
out what is happening, it is too late and how quickly we forget.
Pandering to the "masses" is tantamont to massaging the
ignorant. He is truly representative of the people when it comes
to IQ.
