I've lived in both, and I prefer Texas heat to Florida humidity.

I live in Texas and I like Texas. Neither state has a state income tax, which is good. I am not on the Texas coast and frankly, living too close to the coast scares me because of the potential for hurricanes. Because of that, I think I would always choose Texas over Florida. However, I will say that Florida is an awesome place to vacation. There is a whole lot to do there.

Texas! I'm in South Texas. The only thing Florida has that Texas doesn't, is a decent professional football team. And that might change this year!!!
