perhaps we are part of evolution in God's plan. Or, perhaps we are just evolving on our own. or perhaps we were put here by God for no reason. Or, perhaps there is no God and no evolution, only a Flying Spaghetti Monster that places bones and fossils in discreet places and messes with carbon-dating so that we cannot actually figure out how old these fossils are. Perhaps, we are evolving into a God. Go read "God's Debris" by Scott Adams (yes, the creator of Dilbert), downloadable at www.dilbert.com. It's worth the 3 hours it takes to read, trust me.

Both. Evolution does not have an explanation for how everything began. Religion does not have the details of it all happened. Together they make better sense.

Belief in God is compatible with belief in evolution.
There are some things which we cannot know, but have to take on faith, such as whether God exists. However, there are other things, like the evidence of geology, that are open to scientific evaluation.

I don't believe in God but one does not rule out the possibility of the other.

I think God made humans and then over time they adapted to various climates and various tasks. Like, when he scattered them over the world they evolved and adapted to those climates. Like in Africa, darker skin and wider noses so it's harder for sand to get in their noses in sand storms. Also, men and women. Men adapted to labor because it was considered "unrighteous" for a man not to work. And, women adapted to childbearing and nurturing children because it was also considered "unrighteous" for them to have a job.
