I have just bought suspenders, how can i get my stockings to stay put and look sexy??

Question

when i tried it the stockings hung down too low, even though the adjuster on the suspenders was at the shortest it could go.

Also, what do you wear with them, knickers or thong??

I believe you mean a garder belt is what you purchased! lol

I am not sure what to do besides maybe buy a new pair of stockings for them. Thigh hight stockings are what garder belts are made for.

I think they are very sexy when worn with a cute thong or boyshorts and a matching bra.

Your garter straps are way too long. Most are, the last girl was right. check out that site, it is the best in the world for garter belts. Look closely at them, you can probably fix the one you have if it has a sturdy enough waist band, by cutting the straps and re attaching them. I wear my stockings so high, I have worn them with minis and even shorts. I have one of the short strap garter belts they sell.

Wear whatever underwear you like, I am not sure what knickers are, but put them on last for sure. If you don't you will be struggling all the time with them. Just pull them right over the garter belt after you put your stockings on. They will come down just as fast, which seems to make the guys very happy. They are about the sexiest thing a girl can ever wear, or at least that's what the guys all tell me.

The straps on the suspender are way too long for you. Unfortunately, most of them are designer that way, and unless you are 5' 10" or more, they will not hold up your stockings properly. I know I wear them every day, and I like them very high. They not only look sexier, but they feel sexier that way, and are just a lot more comfortable

You can look at www.stockingstore.com for some properly designed ones, they use their own employees as models, so they are not as tall as professional models, and you can see how the stockings fit. They also have mostly 6 or 8 straps vs the usual 4 to keep the stockings in place better. they do this because they specialize in quality European stockings, which come in sizes, and do not have a lot of stretch in them, so they will be more sheer. They ship to the UK an a regular basis, but you may want to try shorting your straps. as I have done quite successfully.

Shorten your suspenders, or get a new suspender belt with short ones, and a good solid body to hold them up. The stockings should be tight when you wear them, or they will wrinkle and come undone. I know, because I am a pantyhose hater, and wear stockings and a garter belt everyday to work. You have the wrong kind of suspender belt. We call them garter belts. Check out www.stockingstore.com. they ship regularly to the UK or Australia or wherever you are from. I know you are not from the US cuz you call them suspenders.

You may be able to fix yours if you sew, just shorten the straps and sew them back on. Look at the garter belt section of stockingstore.com, and enlarge the pictures. You will see that most of their garter belts have very short sturdy straps to hold up the French and British, non stretch nylons that they sell. Maybe you can get an idea how to fix yours, they have very detailed pictured if you expand them.

They sell stockings from all over the world, but specialize in the sturdy garter belts for the delicate no stretch nylons. I usually wear bikinis or thongs, and wear them on the outside, of the garters, not under like the pictures show. I wear them everyday to work, and it is much more convenient and comfortable to wear the underwear over them when you use the restroom. That way you don't have to keep re-hooking them every time.

The garter straps are too short. You can cut them off and shorten them, thats what I do when they hang down too far. I like my stockings to stay way up high, and nice and tight, because they are way more comfortable and way more sexy that way.

I don't know what knickers are, but I wear bikini's, thongs, and sometimes g-strings with mine. It's very sexy looking. Just wear them on the outside of the stockings and garter straps. Its easy, you just put them on last, over the top of the stockings and garter belt. If you don't they get all tangled up when you want to pee.

You need a different garter belt. I wear one with 6 straps to work everyday, and I have one with 8 short straps when I wear seams or want them very high and tight on my thighs. I have seen some on the English web sites, but most are too stretchy to work well. The best ones come from www.stockingstore.com They have them made of satin with a hooked bra closure in back to make them really sturdy.

I wear a thong with my garter belt everyday, and make sure you wear your underwear on top of the garter belt, not under it like the pictures you see. They are worn that way just for the picture, but everybody that wears them on a regulars basis wears the underwear on the outside, it is so much easier, and you don't have to keep re-adjusting the garters each time you visit the bathroom.

The other girls are right, the straps are probably too long. I was lucky, I started wearing then about a year ago, when my sister gave me her garter belt and she had a short strap one from www.stockingstore.com It holds my stockings really high so they don't show, because I wear them to my job everyday in a law office after school.

Yes, it sounds as though the suspenders you have are not a good fit at all.
I would suggest you look at http://www.stockingshq.com and read their advice page. When you get a proper fitting suspender belt and the correct sized stockings, you will find that not only are they extremely sexy, but they are also very comfortable too. You will find 'proper' suspender belts for sale here too with metal clasps which are essential for a daily wearer.
Hope this helps, but don't give up on stockings, I switched to wearing suspenders and they are far more comfortable than I ever realised (once you have a good belt).

You could fold the suspenders into a tight loop and carefully sticth them to the inside of the belt part that should still look ok.
I think they are best worn with pretty frilly knickers rather than a thong remember to put your stockings on first then your knickers otherwise it looks odd and is very time consuming when you need the loo.
