What happened to the real men, people like Goldwater and Dole and Reagan who, even when you did not agree with them, you still respected. They were honorable men. Real men.

Has the Republican Party sank so low that it can't get it's agenda across without the distortions of truth, the dirty tricks politics, the stereotyping of those who disagree with them?

Has the average Republican become so pu**y-whipped that he or she won't stand up against the extremist in his own party.

Has winning become so ommiportant that having a moral backbone is considered a handicap?

Are there not enough real men left in the Republican Party to re-capture what is used to stand for?

(A quote from a real man, a great Republican:

"To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public." -Teddy Roosevelt )

I believe the Real Republicans still exist but they have been overrun by the current NEOCON hysteria, you know the "you're either with us or against us" mentality governed by religious hypocrisy and the politics of fear. Hypocritical NEOCON wind-bags such as O'reilly, Coulter, Oxycontin addict Rush Limbaugh, Hannity, and all of FoxNEws fuel the "fire" so to speak.

Goldwater was always ready to drop a nuke on some enemy or other for no reason other than they were not an ally. Dole never really had a chance to show himself so I can't really show anything there, but Reagan did exactly what Bush is doing, but he was a far more likeable person, made him look better. The republicans aren't really the party to admire.

But truthfully, Democrats aren't either. They can't make up their mind what they want to support and not support, they very weak as far as foreign policy (though Republicans happen to be helping them a lot as of late). Truth be told, humans as an overall whole can't govern themselves for anything. Most people have read that in the Bible but to my understanding all the religious books (such as the Qu'ran and the Talmud and so on) basically say the same thing. Seems no matter which God you believe in, He knows we can't do it alone. And if you believe in evolution, looks like nature is trying to take us out as soon as possible (giving us just enough rope to hang ourselves now).

I believe that it was your "great" Ronald Reagan that said the 11th commandment, was Republican should not criticize fellow Republicans. Since he has, for some reason become a demi-god to republicans, you can no longer attack each other, or else you are outcast. The extremists rule your party, just as they are taking over the democrats. Someday, people will get sick of it and rebel, but don't see it happening yet.

Honey, like most things in this lifetime, it's gone, but not forgotten. Not just the Republican party, but people in general have to understand that most people in politics are in it for the wrong reason. They want to push hate, bigotry, greed, and make thing more difficult than better. And the sickening part is that they claim that they're doing it in the name of God. I'm not a republican, but I hope in my heart one day that both parties can get it together and work together for the good of the people(That means EVERYONE, my dear.). It's time to take care of America now. Be well and stay true to YOU.
