On hot days, I usually take a shower when I am at home, if I am at work in the office I will try to make for myself the atmosphere more comfortable and the temperature cooler without the A/C but naturally! I wash my wrists and face time by time to keep my body cool and I wear clothes from cotton, not any other product, because cotton is the best material for keeping the sweat in your body and not leaving the body to get hot more then usual! I also eat a lot of vanilla and lemon ice cream to keep my cool from high temperature and with me it really works!!
In very cold days, I put enough clothes that will warm up my body and usually I take hot tea or coffee to make myself feel warm and nice!
It is true that drinking hot things when it's hot it makes the body work in the other direction and vice-versa, when it's cold to take an ice-cream will make you feel warmer immediately much better then taking a hot tea or coffee!!!

Water is best. If you have been perspiring a lot, a tiny bit of salt added is good. Not enough to taste, but a little can help with heat exhaustion (or even sunstroke) prevention. Basically, you want to keep up the liquids, and the electrolytes. Caffeine is not a great idea, and neither is alcohol. My father spent much time in Africa and the Middle East, and he said hot drinks helped cool you off. I do not know about the science of this, but I was raised in a very hot place, and he kept drinking hot tea in the summer all his life.

To cool down on hot days you drink hot chocolate, you may think im being sarcastic, but it actually works. its a chemical reaction in the body that when something warm enters you, you're body will send out cold waves of air to keep it more room tempeture, and vice versa if you drink something cold! so when its hot, grab some tea, and when its cold, go for the smoothie!

Panting on hot days, curl up with fur on outside cold days. When feeling especially upright may spray the easterly wall with water just as the sun passes directly overhead; additional heating strategies for cold times determined by others, throughout the history of human evolution.

If it's really hot I have an ice-cream or drink a cold drink, sometimes I run my wrists under cold water.
If it's too cold (which doesn't happen to me much) I put on another jumper or snuggle up under a quilt

Running your wrists under cool water works but if you're out, try using babywipes or those face wipe thingies. babywipes are cheaper though! You can get some cooling sprays now too.
