It's not just on yahoo

Not many people know the real story, that Abe Lincoln was a Republican, and that that Republican party is simply referred to as "not the Republican party of today." But the Republican party of today is not the Republican party of thirty years ago; I think Clinton solidified the fact that the Democratic party has nothing to do with traditional democratic values, and will never lean towards either standard democratic values, nor slight left democratic values of a great president who directly addressed the concerns of the democratic constituency, Jimmy Carter. Novelty, radicalism, and pretense are the election strategies for democratic candidates, with no grounding in the needs of society. The Republican party is equally disassociated with any of it's traditional groundings with George Bush, whose father actually was probably, and out of order (Reagan was less than traditional-and a Clinton counterpart in proposing things in line with traditional party beliefs that were never seriously put forward) the last traditional Republican. So, my point? We, that is those that actually cognicize of values and standards, maybe erroneously believe that either we will return to Lincoln's Republicanism, or the mainstream Republican ethic of the 20th and latter 19th centuries.

Democrates are learning the ropes of underhanded mean spirited technigues. Give us a little room for mistakes. We have to catch up with the Republicans if we ever want to win anything.
Then I guess we will all be scum but what else is the answer.

Gads the name calling.

It would seem that too many people are too far to the right or left. And most of them here are not interested in debate but.. wait for it.... name calling.

So if you want real debate, talk to a co worker or a family member who is a republican. Take them out to coffee and talk in a calm normal voice.

Then you'll get something other than mud slinging.

Your welcome.

Living in Mom's basement would drive anyone crazy. Specially when they're 45 years old.
