It will be France vs. Italy. France is the defeater of the undefeated (Spain was unbeaten under their coach Luis Aragones, and France took care of them. Brazil had streak of 11 undefeated WC matches, and France took care of that, and Scolari -- Portugal's current coach and Brazil's coach back in 2002 -- is undefeated in 12 WC matches, and France will take care of them).
Italy has history and on their side. It seems every 12 years they make it to the final (1970, Lost; 1982, Won; 1994, Lost in Penalty shots; and I can guarantee 2006 will not be any different -- and Win it. Besides, in WC matches vs Germany, Italy has taken the day (semi-finals 1970 Italy won 3-2, Final 1982, Italy won 3-1).
Zidane will be the Player of the tournament at his sweet 34 years of age.

I want France to win the world cup because I've put money on them and the fact that my mum put money on Portugal so i wud knock her out. We may support England all the way but we just knew that England weren't going to win the world cup and i said they wud get to the quarter finals as well.

To be honest I couldn't think of anything worse than France winning it, but then again I do hope that they get to the final, because that means they will have beaten those Portugese £$%$^%^^ ! to get there. So, I didn't think I would ever say this, but come on Germany :-(

i don't really think to many people thought that England had a chance they are way overrated like in every other World Cup...But if Zidane is playing the way he is they have a shot but the same goes with Italy if their Drama team comes to play there done...

I have to say that my money is on france to win because zinadine zudane playing excellent football right now and so is Thierry Henry but we will see :)
