it depends on you. I was on the depo for 5 years, loved the no period but hated the weight gain and mood swings. Then I switched to the pill which I could never remember to take. Now I am on the patch, you only have to change it once a week, easy to remember, and the week you don't wear one you generally have your period so it's easy to know when you are going to be on. It sticks so good that it hurts to take it off so you don't have to worry about it falling it off!! But it is really up to you, every woman is different. You just have to try different things until you find the one that is right for you. Good luck!!

Nuvaring! I was on the pill for 15 years, and switched. It's like a miracle drug! You put it in once a month and leave it in for 3 weeks (can't feel it) and then you take it out for a week, and get your period! Simple!
EDIT: I find it hilarious that all the men are suggesting abstinence. I guess that's why women are usually in charge of birth control. If it was up to them, abstinence would NEVER be mentioned!
The nuvaring is 99% effective,as well as other hormone controlled birth control. You just have to follow the directions, and use it properly!

I've been on Ortho Evra (the patch) for over a year now. I liked it, but I go tanning often and it could possibly make more hormones release at once, so I am switching to the pill. I have heard nothing bad about Ortho Tricyclen-lo except remembering to take it. And if you want to have fewer periods, skip the "no hormone" pills the week of your period and start a new pack. It works the same with the patch. Also, my boyfriend didn't like the feel of the patch *shrub

Well, of course abstinence is the fool proof way. But if you have to, try the Mirena T. It's awesome! You just go in and the doctor puts it in which takes only about 5 minutes and you don't even feel it! It also makes your periods a lot shorter, or maybe even nothing at all! It is 99.9% effective and it works for 5 years!! You can check it out on www.mirena.com

I first started on the Depo too, but gained about 20 pounds from that, then went to the pill and got pregnant. Now after having my baby girl, I'm on the Merena (IUD) and I love it. It stays inside of you for at 5 years. I don't even feel it, I don't get my period, and I feel that it works great. I would definately recommend this to anyone and everyone who doesn't want children at this time in their life!

the pill is great if you can remember to take it.
if you can't they have the patch, that you only change once a week
and the new Ova ring - which you leave in all month.
if you're looking for something else long term, like depo, there are IUDs, with or without hormones.

Abstinence is the best form of birth control. This is a true fact because you can't possibly get pregnant if your not engaging in sexual intercourse. conterceptives are 99.99% accurate in the protection aganst pregancy and sexually transmitted diseases.
Pills and shots are okay, until one day you forget to take them, and they only protect you against pregnancy and STD's. With abstenence you don't have to worry about forgeting to take your shots, medication and or having your lover wrap it up. You don't have to always, in the back of your mind, knowing that the condom is only 99.99% accurate in its protection against pregnancy and STD's. And you don't have to worry about all the negative side affects that the shots and pills will have on your body.

abstinence!! I got pregnant the last time (with #3) while I was on the pill. If you don't want children stop having sex nothing is 100%!!! I did get my tubes cut and burned after he was born and missed a period and the doctor told me to get a pregnancy test. So nothing is 100%

For me it's the mirena. It's an IUD
lmao, All these women are saying the nuva ring and the patch....I got pregnant on both of those. The patch made me sick. I did like the nuva ring until I got pregnant. My fiance has a very high sprem count and I am very fertile, thats why I got pregnant.
