"a good clip" is meant to be interpreted as "pace" as in the economy is still expanding at a good pace.

I have always assumed "a good clip" - as in its useage for something moving at a fast pace - to refer to when a horse is travelling at the fastest it can within each of its paces and the toe of the hind shoe connects with the toe of the front shoe as the front foot is coming off the floor and the hind foot is coming down onto the floor. The two shoes strike together and "clip", sometimes striking a spark at the same time. The technical term is to "over-reach" and its potentially damaging - but that's probably more than you wanted or needed to know. lol

My Dad used to give me a good clip but he never mentioned the economy, so I dont think it has much to do with that!
He did shout a lot of other words while he was giving me the clipping ,but not 'economy' I would have remembered that!!
Hope this helps??

It means that our economy is still growing, but PLZ do not believe this from our current administration-its all a big fat LIE, as to be expected from these people.

It's the illusion that our present government is tryong to get us to believe. There is no truth in this statement , but they are trying to convince us.
