Yes, they should be tried if they have broken the rules of engagement. I am a Soldier and I can tell you that I am not brainwashed in any way. With the Marines right now, they were fired upon and acted appropratiatly, so far as I can tell. As far as the alleged rapists, there is no excuse for that.
Every incident that occurs like this is investigated thouroughly and if the rules of engagement were followed, then the Soldiers will get excused. Trust me, the investigation is very thourough and a lot of money is spent.

I spent 12 years in the Army, I can tell you from experience that our soldiers are not "brain washed" in any way and absolutely do not "kill on sight without thinking". I'll make an educated guess and say you've never served and this question is based off of anti-military propaganda you've been subjected to. Which begs the question, who is the truly brain washed victim here?
Soldiers are people, and have the same faults as everyone else. Take ANY group, no matter what the definition, and you'll find some who do stupid, evil things just as you'll find some who have strong moral compasses.
Should soldiers be accused of killings, rapes, and abuse? Sure, and they should be presumed innocent until those accusations are PROVEN, the same as everyone else.

I was a Marine and no one brain washed me to rape a women. There is brain washing involved with being a soldier but not to rape. The issues they are having with the murdering of civilians is due to frustration of being attacked so much. The rape thinking they can get away with it because they are in another country.

They still have a measure of compassion within them to uphold international laws. Our soldiers are not trained to be as ruthless and lawless as other soldiers of other nations. Therefore I hold them accountable for unnecessary violence. If they accidentally kill a child in a gun battle, that's one thing. If they round up a village of people and shoot them down, that's a war crime. The United States is a very special nation because it has a conscience, even during war. Our enemies do not, and we do not want to be like them in any way.

Most definitely!
We are already the most HATED nation
in the world...will raping, killing more
innocent Iraqi citizens help any? DUH!
Many folks don't realize that all this anger and rage
our soldiers now have....they will come home and
sadly...their spouses will bear the brunt of it...
(They already are...reading reports of soldiers
beating up or killing their wives, etc...)
Way to go Bush!

Wait for the investigation to complete. If there's probable cause to believe they did what they are accused of, and there is sufficient evidence to prosecute, then it is up to the court to make these decisions. If the soldiers have a viable defense such as brainwashing, that's what the defense attorney is there for.

But yes. Bush should be tried for war crimes just like Saddam... except that he has killed about 10 times more people than Saddam...

Please do no longer decide all atheists by way of the strikes of one. decide each and each individual in my opinion. i'm an atheist and no, that may not how I gain my objectives. I gain my objectives by using perplexing artwork and perseverance with the help of my relatives. If I have been to be in a debate, i could modern my arguments in a dignified way and admire the perspectives of the oppositions on an identical time as contradicting them the place suitable with knowledgeable rebuttal. and could my combatants win the communicate, i could shake their palms and supplement their debating qualifications.

I think that if they are killing people that are not carrying weapons and are not threatening there lives yes, they should be accused of murder. We should not just kill whom ever we see there. There are innocent people over there. The raping is just uncalled for there is no reason anyone should be raped.

What evidence to you have to support your allegations?
Here's some advice for you: If you have no evidence, your best bet would be to ignore my question. Just act like I never asked it. That way, people will only THINK you're a brainless puzzy, instead of you removing all doubt.
