This question has a lot of religious connotation surrounding it and is subject to personal opinion based on each individuals religious belief. Based on information heard of small children relating situations of past life experience in great detail and naming themselves from those past lives and later information being found that those named parties did exist. I would say yes, that if you die you do continue living in another body. I would not say this new life experience is immediate after death and experienced by all but those that were taken before their due time. I believe those that have experienced past lives have been reborn to experience another life either due to something missed in previous life or even due to desire to continue work left unfinished at time of death.

Good question. The problem with it is, nobody can know that(yes even the ones that answered NO.) How could they? Have they experienced death yet?
Also, if reincarnation were real, why wouldn't we know it? What would be the harm in letting us remember our past lives? It's weird to think about, really. We could remember all the mistakes we made and try not to make them in this one. Or maybe just make new ones so we'll have a heads up in the next life. That is assuming, of course, that we continue to come back as humans. I'd probably end up as a panda or something.

1Corinthians 15
52 You hear a blast to end all blasts from a trumpet, and in the time that you look up and blink your eyes--it's over. On signal from that trumpet from heaven, the dead will be up and out of their graves, beyond the reach of death, never to die again. At the same moment and in the same way, we'll all be changed.
53 In the resurrection scheme of things, this has to happen: everything perishable taken off the shelves and replaced by the imperishable, this mortal replaced by the immortal.

No, instead of waking up as "anything", your soul will (ideally) go to heaven in where you will be introduced to the Lord and reintroduced to those you love, who are gone. The atmosphere of heaven is positive, alive and joyous. It is written that we will never be hungry, needy, etc. We will meet our family that have left the earth, as well as others. what could be more perfect than that? It is enough to make anyone a loving and giving person on earth! What is in store for those who believe in Him, is a life of everlasting joy and peace.Hope to see you there!
