Hey, my name is Apryl too!! Weird!! (I'm being serious, too.)
I always wondered about that, sometimes I feel so awful because I don't look a certain way, and I hate having to wear glasses, and having brown hair because people don't notice you when you have brown hair, but then I realize, "Well, if they don't like me, they aren't worth thinking about!" So just be yourself and don't worry what anyone else thinks.

Its mostly women who have that ordeal. I suppose men have to be well groomed but the process to achieve that is no where near as long as a womans. Women brought this upon themselves I think. In the modern age they are always looking for way to imporve there apperance no matter how long or hard it is to achieve that look. That means that any other girl who doesn't do these beauty routines is less attractive and making there place in society lower. It's a viscous cycle. I'm just glad I am a guy and I take a shower in the morning and I'm done.

It's not..... it's you who thinks society wants you to look perfect.
There are many people, myself, who just aim to look decent, not perfect. People really don't care what you look like, as long as you look OK for the place you might be in.

Blame it on the media...what most people don't know or won't see, is that even supermodels aren't perfect...their pictures are airbrushed to make them APPEAR perfect....it's all smoke and mirrors....just be your own best self; mostly, be happy with who you are. a happy person is always beautiful

huh????? i have seen more diversity in the last few years than ever!! the last 60 yrs. of styles are being represented plus new ideas of their own, this is one crazy generation that way, proud of them. kids are learning to be free with ideas, not their bodies, and to love themselves for who they are. what society, (where) do you live? i just am not seeing what you are.

80 years of Hollywood hotties and made-up models have left us with a warped sense of what is beautiful.

you shouldn't care of society; we should all live by guiding ourselves on what is really good for us and for human kind

I don't think it's true. It's impossible to look like the airbrushed models in mags and tv. Live life as you please, and be happy.
