Grand Rapids and West Michigan are wonderful. That is why those places are attracting more people and business than other areas.

i grew up in the grand rapids area, the north west area will be the better place to be if you can get up into Wyoming it would be even better it is a suburb just north west of GR. I hope you love snow too! the grand rapids area gets alot of the lake effect snow. I just moved to oklahoma and i say i will not miss the snow but i am sure i will be quite envious of you this winter when i dont get a white christmas! Have a great time! I wish you well.

I live in the South-east. I love it. The winters are really long, so I hope you like cold weather, or at least can cope with it.
There's lots of stuff to do in the suburbs here. check out the website below for some cool "stuff to do" in this part of Michigan.
I don't know much about Grand Rapids, sorry.

I live in Michigan now...I think living up north is the best, especially if you like nature. I have never been to Grand Rapids, but I hear it is nice. Mackinaw Island is cool too.
