Who laughs on "Roxanne" and why?

At the very beginning of the song "Roxanne" by "The Police", we hear a very odd piano chord and then a laugh.

Who's laughing and what's with the odd piano chord? Is it related to the previous song on the album? (I don't own the album).

I know Sting is laughing but I don't think the cord has anything to do with the previous song which is So Lonely. I'll have to keep an eye on this question and see what others say.

yep, Sting laugh...but i didn't know that Summers farted
