i have a very special friend who really needs to be shown she is appreciated. She never takes a second for herself. She will do anything for anyone and will never tell you no. She is a wonderful mother, an awesome wife, and a great friend...who deserves to be recognized. i would like to do something to let her know that we all think she is. I do not have lots of money but i want to really make a statement.
what can i do?

make her a scrapbook and have all of your friends and her family to sign in it. then at the very last page, write her a poem that describes how great she is and how everybody thinks of her and appreciates her.

You are not goincrazy,you are the most wonderful person in this crazy world,you concern about this excellent lady because she is as nice as you are.Tell you the truth,my wife used to be the same as that lady,you can't say a bad word on her ,all our kids,relatives,friends are unofficially recognized her.Me- I appreciated from the depth of my heart,told every single person that how great she is,but I never told her directly cause I thought that she knew in her heart,but not really....
So,your concern is very thinkable and you should contact people who know her ,find out when is her birthday or any special days.A surprise party for with all the recognizing and appreciation posting,poster.messages,greeting cards and most important is don't let her know the kids and husband are there until she is looking anxiety ,at her most disappointment moment ,her husband and children are step out from different directions walk toward her in the centre and sing her favourite songs.
Image the scene,full of joy,fun and tears,the tears with LOVE.

1. Rent a local swimming pool and have an appreciation party for her.(about $90 bucks around where I live)
2. Get a bunch of people together and have a picnic in her honor.
3.Take up a collection from all her friends and pay her car payment for a month or something.
Hope it gives you an idea that's all I can think of right now.

I say you should first figure out what she likes the most at the moment. That way you could use it as a theme or use it in the actual event. For example, If she likes to cook you could set up a huge dinner or bbq for tomorrow. I know its short notice, but have everyone make one of their best dishes and bring it. Or if she likes a show or something, throw a huge themed party or bbq. Also you should either make it unexpected or do something unexpected.like make her a little award such as "Most Helpful Friend in the World."

Do a "girly" thing w/ her. Being a mother, wife, and working woman just getting away for a day w/ one of my friends is like a vacation.
Take her out window shopping, light lunch, and listen to her! Listen to her problems, her vents.

Offer to do some of her tasks or chores for a day,or better yet send her to a day spa not very expensive and she will come home feeling like a queen.Good luck God bless:O)

go and do something silly like go-carts. a catered pic-nick on a beach but just something totally different not just a usual thing. maybe parachuting or some other fun thing. get life and take it by the horns.

does she have a lot of friends? sounds like she should.
get them all to send her a card and have them all postmarked on the same day so she gets them all at once. that will do it.
