Because they are evolving into better monkeys - it's not a given that because one species evolved in a particular manner that there will ever be a repeat of this.

And to be fair, if monkeys did evolve into prehistoric humanity - we'd only slaughter them or put them in zoos where there evolutionary path would come to an end anyway.

The evolution of species is based on genetic mistakes. Some are good, some are bad. When cells reproduce they will either make an exact copy or something will be slightly different.
The differences are what bring about differences in species.
For example there has been a genetic misshap in people who suffer from Multiple Sclerosis or Downs Syndrome. Nearly every cell is 100% correct, but all it takes it one to create a difference.

Apparently 98% of our genetic makeup is the same as the apes. However that 2% is the difference. Thousands of years ago there will have been a genetic fault maybe in a family. This then leads to a differing of the species. This would then have happened several times to have become the original 'walking ape man'.
Mixed into this is the 'Survival of the fitest'. This is why the 'runts' are normally taken first by preditors. People who suffer from certain genetic disorders unfortunately die because their bodies haven't been created properly and are too weak to survive. Of course it also works the other way. Giraffes for example have benefited from their genetic difference, as have the long necked gazzels.

The apes (because it's not actually monkey's that we evolved from, it's apes. Monkeys have tails - we don't) of today will not be the same as those that we evolved from, but they are our closest relatives. But in the future Apes (and monkeys) will continue to evolve and change. Those who survice best in their environment will live, those that aren't will die out.

There's no reason why there wouldn't be two different kinds of human species. Maybe adapting to the differing air conditions on earth (an iron lung?!) or being able to survive on fast food (god forbid).

And everyone yakking on about evolution being a lie...shut up!! Show me Jesus, Mary or Joseph's bones! They've found 'evolution' evidence!!

And if you want evidence of evolution over 'creation', could you please tell me why in Africa the native species: Lions, Elephants, Giraffes, Gazelles, Baboons etc survice better than the introduced species: Cows, Goats, Chickens?

You will see the latter emasiated, thin and week because they cannot survice on the harsh African diet. The native animals are made to survice there. Elephants have large feet so they don't sink under their weight, Camels retain water, Giraffes can feed from the highest branches and Huge creatures like Water Buffalo are healthy looking.

If the Creation theory was true, why don't cows survive when an animal twice it's size in the water buffalo can? Why didn't 'god' have the foresight to make sure they would?

End of.

Monkeys never did evolve into humans. I believe in intelligent design. Animals and humans were created. They may have changed some over the years but not into something different. No matter how long a rock would sit there it is not going to evolve into water nor water into a rock. The rock may wear away some and the water may become stagnant but the make up of water is still water and the make up a rock is still a rock. I don't think a bird would evolve into a bat so why would a monkey into a human and if apes evolved into humans why are there still apes and monkeys? Why haven't they all changed? Darwin and evolution are so full of questions without answers. Only a higher power (God) could do that. Just look around and see the life circle from the tiny ant, to a leaf, to a new born baby and tell me you don't believe in a higher power.

"Be careful, you may be onto something that kicks the evolutionist theories in the back side. There should be all sorts of things like that going on if it were true. " Someone who doesn't understand the theory is going to to discredit Evolution?

"why aren't monkeys still evolving into humans?" Because they can't "still" be doing something that they never did in the first place. Rather than parrot loonies who say this, try reading an evolution book by an actual evolutionary scientist. Or even try spending 10 seconds using the search box above to see previous answers to this question. You'll learn that the theory is that all primates (humans included) evolved from a common ancestor. They branched off at different times, hence the different types of primates.

We did not evolve from monkeys.

We did not evolve from apes.

If evolution were true then the alleged common ancestor of monkeys and man would presumably look like some kind of monkey or ape.

However evolution of some-kind-of-monkey to a man is a philosphical hpyothesis. It certainly cannot be described as a historical fact. The evidence that we see in the present does not support it. There are a handful of so-called transitional fossils which are all controversial. If evolution had happened then there should be lots of evidence.

We see Natural Selection all around us - peppered moths, finches' beaks, etc. This is not monkey-to-man evolution, which requires the addition of new genetic information. Mutations are supposed to provide the new genetic information, but no mutations have been observed to do this. Most are harmfull, and result in a distinct loss of information.

Some people (incl contributors above) would have you believe that Natural Selection + mutations + lots of time = evolution.
This is like saying that if you spend a pound at a time you'll eventually become a millionaire.

Evolution is easily refuted - see link below.

Monkeys have always been monkeys, but evolutionists are trying to make monkeys of us all!

Because evolution doesn't push things in any specific direction.

There would have to be an open ecological niche for an intelligent dietary generalist AND dwindling resources in the monkeys niche, not to mention luck.

Monkeys never evolved into humans. Learn about natural history man. Ape like ancestors split into early apes and early hominids. No monkeys there,

Monkeys have tails and live in trees, a big heavy brain would be a liability, they don't eat the righ kind of diet to grow or sustain one, so they haven't developed them.

Our big brains require more resources than an arborial creature could hope to gather.

First of all..we (humans) did not come from monkeys..we shared a common ancestor many million of years ago..because we were able to develop tools, we were able to advance ahead of the competition..Who is to say monkeys aren't evolving..They already know how to make tools and are very intelligent..Evolution is a very slow process and who knows what monkeys will evolve into 5 million years from now

Why don't you pay attention when people try to explain the Theory of Evolution to you? Nobody has ever stated that monkeys or apes evolved into humans.

Monkeys never evolved into humans. Read the Bible. Evolution is not correct. There are sites to visit that can help.

Cause I've heard humans didn't evolve from monkeys in the first place.
