i mean, germany has gone further than people thought, and anyone that COULD have beaten them (england, brazil, switzerland, czech republic) has been CONVENIENTLY eliminated...

the only thing that stands in their way are second tier teams

Italy has been good, but is lacking this year....france is a joke and somehow had one decent outing and beat brazil, and portugal isn't good enough to beat most of the quarter finalists...

with the cup being in Germany this year, does anyone find out funny that the red carpet has basically been rolled out for the german national team?

don't agree on your comment on italy!

show me a team that can stand the pressure

- for the Serie A/Juventus scandal
- for Pessotto's (former Juventus player) suicide attempt
- for all the international press blaming them to just defend and not attack

and has such a fantastic gk like buffon (europe's best if not the world's best gk) and a defense formed by nesta and cannavaro...

together with totti, toni and zambrotta they'll bring the wc back to italy this year!!

FORZA ITALIA!!!!

P.S.: don't agree on your comments on france and germany as well - brazil, argentina and england were more a joke than france will ever be!! and don't forget one thing: italy already defeated germany 4:1 this march!!

I dont think that it has been fixed. It is not always the best team that wins. The 4 teams left have all worked hard and had some luck come their way. It is a shame that some powerhouse soccer teams such as Brazil or Argentina are out. I have Germany winning the whole thing. They have more experience than the other teams and you can't deny the home crowd.

no if the carpet had been rolled out argentina wouldnt have been winning for most of the scond half and then have Germany come back, and argentina was playing much better than brazil. Germany deserve to win the world cup.

After they beat Argentina, I disagree with what you say. As much as I hate the Italian team, I think they could be Germany. I'm picking Portgal, to win it all.

Lots of people were picking Garmany to win (or at least get to the final) before the World Cup even started. There is NO fix at all.

You're right, the world cup is already fixed : France will win vs. Germany, say, 3-0. ALLEZ LES BLEUS !!!

No. Ever heard of an upset? Would you doubt Miracle on Ice? Especially if you were American? You've never heard of an upset before have you? Upsets are a huge part of what makes sport fun to watch. If everyone who was expected to win, won it would be boring.

heck ya! these 4 teams have their reasons:

germany: host country

portugal: first semi finals since exactly 40 years

france: after the world cup will be zizou's retirement

italy: the scandal that's going back in italy's club league

rumor has it if italy wins, they'll have to repeat the world cup!

i dont think its fixed, just that the refs were absolutely horrible because of those new rules fifa put in place. thats all this world cup is gonna be remembered for and that sucks. italia will win though. its just a shame the us couldnt have gone farther because of that stupid ref.
