I know that it's basically the best film industry in the world. The language of the films is in Hindi. I've seen a lot of Bollywood movies. They are better than Hollywood movies. If you want to see some nice movies, some good starting flicks that are not too old and are good for all interests are Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Munnabhai MBBS, Lakshya, Paheli, and Black. Some nice ones are coming out this summer, and some have just come out, such as Fanaa.

BOLLYWOOD MOVIES r mostly based on the reality not on imagination like the Hollywood right pal, but bollywood movies have drastic effects on the Indian people take for the eg: the krrish boy who jumped in the theater but in the Hollywood it not like that, but it is fabulous the songs, action, drama, romance n comedy.

Please allow me to add to the other postings that India, now produces more films than Hollywood. The country has much more stringing censorship and standards than in this country, so that overt sex is virtually nonexistant. Comedies resemble 1940's, 1950's US musicals with players breaking out into song and dance for practically no reason. There are a LOT of films about Hindi mythology and religous history. In these, they closely resemble Chinese Kung Fu films. (lots of swords, epic battles and unbelievable action scenes.

With subtitles, they can be very entertaining to English speaking audiences. Many popular movies are done in English.

India produced movies, usually way longer than standard hollywood movies. Heard that they are getting close to becoming a good rival for hollywood.
