Well, let's see ... I live in Hot Springs Arkansas in the U.S. and last August Hurricane Rita (the one after Katrina, that wiped out New Orleans) blew through our little town and knocked a 150 year old, 10 ton oak tree onto my 11 room victorian house that I have lived in for the last 6 years and completely crushed it, I lost half of everything I own (thank goodness it was'nt everything and no one was hurt, although I was at home at the time). I started college for the first time at the age of 43, my dog of 13 years died,my teen son attempted suicide 2 times, I've had to move 3 times, and my mother had 2 heart attacks. I have'nt had a chance to let off any steam as I am waiting for a long term bed for my son to open up in a mental health facility while he is at home right now and he is on 24/7 suicide watch. I am a single mother, legally blind and dealing with all of this alone.
I am a basket case.

Having to disown a loved one. An alcoholic and drug user. Both parents are gone and had to disown my brother. He's had multiple chances to help himself but hasn't. Lost his wife, kids, and now the only family he had left that he could count on to the bottle.

Think it's hurting me more than him though.
