Well, if you really want to do the two things at the SAME time, your play is going to have to be studying- you can make up songs or poetry with the information you need to remember; make copies of maps in black and white, then color them in; make up a board game with questions and answers that will be on your next test...
If you can possibly stand to do the two things separately, use playtime as a reward for yourself. Say for every hour of homework, you get to play for half an hour, or depending on your bedtime/chore duties, you might be able to do one hour of play for every hour of homework.
Also, you can mix play and study time, like ride your bike to the library, then sit there and study for an hour, and ride your bike back home. Or take a book to a park, and sit on the swings while you read.
Hope this helps- remember, doing school work isn't punishment, it's necessary in order to reinforce what you're learning in school.

If you study first and play later, it would take a lot less time and you'd probably do a much bettr job.
