A person should always make important decisions alone. You can consult others first - but if you are a wise and responsible person you always make your decisions alone.

Depends upon the decision and who is affected by it. Each individual is responsible for their decisions and their life, so if it's just about you then it's absolutely appropriate for you to make an important decision alone (although some people will ask other's opinions first). If the decision affects others in your life, especially significantly, then it would be appropriate for them to have some say in the matter.

well, that depends. Sometimes a person needs to make a decision without any biased opions so they can make the best decisoon for them. But yeah sometimes a clear head is good to help make a decision. Just be sure to have someone that is not directly affected by your decision, or else they'll tell you to do what's best for them and not you.

I disagree - every person should seek advice before making a decision but the decision itself should be theirs alone. Then they have no one to blame but themselves if it turns out bad.

not true, you should ask someone with experience in the matter their opinion, but the decision shoud be made by the person it effects.
