Anyone else bored with big brother?

Haven't watched any of them full stop, seen a couple of episodes here and there usually because I was at a friends and she watches it.
It just seems to be nasty, immature, horrible people out to make some easy money, a quick bit of fame & then back to obscurity.

I have to admit tho I'm a fan of Jade Goody's altho I never saw her on the show. I like the way she doesn't try to hide the fact she's thick & the way people can either take her or leave her cos she's happy with who she is and isn't gonna change for anyone.
I admire that, also she's the only one who has continuously made money since the show

I know you are referring to a TV show I have not seen, but I would like to comment on the REAL Big Brother: or more likely these days, Big Sister.

George Orwell wrote 1984 in 1948, warning of the impact of socialism. Remember now that 1984 is quite a while ago for us. Socialism has crept into everything, especially what we generally just call "the bureaucracy." Such structures are remarkably self-perpetuating, because people who get jobs in the bureaucracy (1) vote for candidates who increase taxes and their budgets for their department; (2) push for unions and major benefit packages that make raising children easier; (3) help their sons and daughters to get jobs in the bureaucracy, either through the union apprenticeships or just through networking. A bureaucrat's salary is increased in direct proportion to the size of his department; the number of people working under him, and the budget he manages annually. Therefore, whether or not a project is worthwhile to begin with, whether or not it is doing what it claimed it would do (fight poverty, improve the environment, whatever cliche good work they used for an excuse), if the middle management types are good at increasing their staff and increasing their budgets, they will increase their salaries. And so the taxpayers continue to support a larger and larger bureaucracy that does less and less actual effective work.

Just about anything which is currently done by Big Brother or Big Sister could be more effectively done by private foundations and charitable fraternal organizations, religious organizations, and the like. But the non-profits only get such money as is donated by people wealthy enough to need the tax cut for making the donation. Ordinary folks can't afford to give (although sometimes they do anyway) because their money is being bled out of them in taxes and in higher costs for all the things they need that are made more expensive by mindless government regulations.

If you are REALLY bored with Big Brother, vote Libertarian for a change!

I most definitely finding it boring but the thing i cant quite work out is. If am just getting bored with big brother period, or just that big brother didn't get the right mix of people this time.

I think the last few series of big brother have been really boring but this one has been really entertaining and funny and will continue to be funny as long as Nikki stays in.

Yes i mean if I want to go and watch a bunch of people in a house for 2-3 months 24/7 I can go round my m8s house

I could never bring myself to watch it. The whole concept of watching people live in a house bores me.

Bored?!! Never watched it in the first place! They say that your brain is more active when you are sleeping than watching TV, I wonder what it must be like watching BB!!!! Dead??!
